Installing Tidepool

Tidepool is Murmur’s desktop installer and product/license manager — the single app that installs, updates, and licenses Murmur, Undertow, and Pulse on your machine.

EARLY-STAGE PRODUCT

Tidepool is in beta: this page describes the current v0 beta-distribution flow (paste a shared license key, fetch the live catalog, install), not the eventual full Kilohearts-style catalog app. Screens and exact copy below are illustrative pending a UI pass — verify against the current build before publishing screenshots.

Download

Download Tidepool for your platform from your account page. The installer itself is distributed anonymously (no login required to download the installer binary; you’ll sign in inside the app).

First run

1. Open Tidepool.
2. Paste your beta license key when prompted.
3. Tidepool fetches the live product/release catalog and shows what’s available to install.
4. Choose a product to install or update.

Verifying an install

Tidepool reads each installed plugin’s real bundle version directly from the installed bundle (not a locally cached manifest), so what it shows always reflects what’s actually on disk.
